the technology in your Mitt

Toaster Technology

Toaster Technology

Toaster mitts give you three key functions in one: open the watertight zipper to use your fingers with great dexterity, add a hand warmer inside for a "toaster effect" that warms up your hand in the coldest conditions, or open the zipper to vent cold air when you get too warm.
Removable Liner

Removable Liner

The removable stretch fleece inner glove liner transforms your gloves into a complete hand warming system. Use the full glove for cold days, or pull out the liner for mild conditions, spring skiing, or around-the-lodge comfort. The fleece construction provides warmth and dexterity when worn alone. Perfect for changing conditions, travel days when you need a lighter option, or anyone who wants maximum versatility from their glove investment.

What is the warmest glove?

Our warmest gloves have our Level 5 Warmth Rating, designed for temperatures from 10°F to -20°F / -12°C to -30°C. Read all about our warmth ratings.

How do I find my glove size?

To find out your glove size, measure (in inches) around your hand with a tape measure across your palm and use our size chart to find the best size for you. You should use your dominant hand, the right if you are right-handed, and the left if you are left-handed.

How do I care for my gloves

Fabric gloves, even with leather palms, can be hand washed with sports wash or Woolite. (Follow detergent manufacturer's directions). Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent.

It is a good idea to have your hands inside your gloves during the wash & rinse process to help maintain the shape of the gloves.

Soap has surfactants that reduce the surface tension of water and dramatically reduce waterproofness. (Nikwax or a similar waterproofing material, works best).

Be sure never to wring out your gloves, as it can ruin the internal stitching and lining materials. You need to let the gloves air dry away from direct heat.

Clean the outside of leather gloves with a mild leather cleaner. It is recommended that you have your hand inside your glove as you gently clean it. After cleaning, you should spray your gloves with a silicone spray to protect the leather.

As for the inside of the glove: it is very difficult to clean the inside of gloves. You could try using Woolite on a cloth and gently clean the inside or try spraying the inside with Febreze. Then you would have to let them air dry.

A second option is to have your gloves professionally cleaned.
