Temperature Rating: 5 (-20°F - 10°F)

Featured in Freeskier’s coveted Buyer’s Guide, the X-Calibur Mitt has earned its place among the top picks for premium performance and durability. Back for the 2024-2025 season, this glove builds on its reputation with a rugged performance leather shell and a digitized leather palm overlay for extra grip and wear resistance. Inside, strategically mapped PrimaLoft insulation provides warmth where you need it most—heaviest on the back of the hand, lightest on the palm for dexterity, and flexible on the sidewalls to move with you. Swany’s Dynaflex construction brings it all together, allowing the glove to naturally contour to your hand for a better grip and more responsive feel. Available in both men’s and women’s fits, the X-Calibur is built for skiers who charge hard and demand gear that keeps up.

Good at warmer temps

Gloves are comfortable with good dexterity. Cold at temps below 20 degrees. Would be good with a heated liner but then would be bulky. Not exactly what I was hoping for.

Finger slots FTW

I feel the XL is a bit snug.....not as snug as a large just slightly small for an XL. Quality is outstanding nice leather very well insulated. Perhaps that's why they feel a little snug. Would buy again. Nicest mitts I have ever owned.

Great mitten, but short in length

I’ve been a fan of Swany mittens for multiple years. I purchased the x-caliber mitten for my husband as a gift. He loves the mittens but feels that they run short in length in comparison to the gloves. He’s normally a medium, but had to size up to a large even after measuring his hand according to the Swany sizing guide. I ran into the same issue with the women’s mittens. I did not like the fact that I had to spend $20 to ship the gloves back to Swany in order to exchange sizes.
